This year the Festival is more focused in student activity and feedback.
Elementary students unleash their creativity through hands-on media production, exploring innovative storytelling techniques with cutting-edge technology such as live digital recording, robotic cameras, and interactive streaming. Through imaginative workshops, Generation Alpha will empower its creative voices, transforming traditional presentation skills into dynamic, tech-savvy experiences.
Middle school students lead the conversation on digital citizenship, demonstrating how critical thinking and ethical decision-making empower youth to navigate the complexities of the online world safely and responsibly. Engaging panel discussions will highlight how students are leveraging critical skills to identify misinformation, protect privacy, and balance authenticity with online influences. Attendees will discover practical strategies that teens, educators, and families can use to foster a responsible, engaged, and digitally empowered generation.
Academy sessions will engage students into meaningful discussion about the transformative impact of AI and media literacy on future career paths, equipping students with the skills to critically engage with AI-driven media and navigate ethical challenges in today's evolving career landscape. The festival also features expert-led public panels addressing vital issues such as the ethical implications of AI in journalism and creative industries.
